Terms of Service

DRAFT — not legal advice. Written for review by Ontario counsel before these pages are treated as binding. Do not rely on this text as a consumer contract until counsel signs off. Drafted 27 September 2026 for Ascend Applied Intelligence, Ontario, Canada.

1. Who we are

These draft terms are for Ascend (AscendPoints), a website and Chrome extension operated by Ascend Applied Intelligence (Toronto, Canada). Contact: hello@ascendpoints.com.

2. What the product does

Ascend helps Aeroplan members compare an Air Canada award quote to partner options we can see (via the seats.aero Partner API when configured, or from the award page you opened in the extension). We show a verdict. We never ticket, book, or hold inventory. You complete any booking yourself on aircanada.com.

3. Acceptance

By using the site or installing the extension you agree to these terms once they are published (draft banner removed). If you do not agree, do not use the product.

4. No account required

The free check does not require a login. Optional trial and Route Watch state may live in your browser. Paid Trip Pass and Pro are processed by Stripe when checkout is live.

5. Paid plans

Launch prices are fixed in Canadian dollars: Trip Pass $29 (one origin–destination, 7 days) and Ascend Pro $89 / year. Family and Team prices on the site are listed as coming soon and are not for sale. See Refunds if we fail to deliver what you paid for.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not abuse the awards proxy (automated harvesting, open-proxy use, or sharing a seats.aero key).
  • Do not attempt to extract airline credentials through the extension — we do not collect them.
  • Do not scrape Air Canada login walls on our behalf. We will not.

7. Inventory and honesty

Award seats change. United awards on Aeroplan can move. If live Exact is down or the API key is missing, we fail closed and do not invent savings. A dated proof capture is not a promise for your next search. See Disclaimer.

8. Intellectual property

The Ascend name, mark, and site copy belong to Ascend Applied Intelligence. Air Canada, Aeroplan, United, and Star Alliance marks belong to their owners. We are independent and not endorsed by them.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Counsel must rewrite this section. Draft intent only: the product is provided as-is; we are not liable for missed bookings, airline schedule changes, or points you spend on aircanada.com. Ontario consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived remain.

10. Governing law

Draft: laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Venue: courts of Ontario. Counsel to confirm.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The published date will appear at the top once counsel clears the draft. Material changes to paid plans will be emailed when we have a working mailbox.
